Stayed here last year. What a great caravan park, lovely friendly staff and very accommodating. Truly a relaxed time we had. facilities were a little old but clean all the time. If you find them dirty, speak to your fellow camper's to clean up after themselves. Proximity to beach excellent. Cooked take away meals available for a 'moms night off'. If you dont enjoy camping find a hotel!

Jetty was small if your a keen fisherman you need to get there early for a spot.

No bikes in caravan park - not really a dislike but more a warning for others that may take their bikes, the park is small and there is an element of danger with kids riding around on bikes based on blind spots.

I would call this park a "work in progress". It does have incredible potential as it is in a fantastic position. Duane is lovely and great to have a chat with.

The locks were dodgy as & nearly seemed to pull the entire cabin structure down on van number 5. The beds were comfortable & there is not a single mention of check out times between staff members & residents staying for the weekend. The information isn't posted on the door. They guy in charge was nice enough to let us park away from the bird poo he said would be a problem with the vehicle. The pine cones dropping on the cabins themsevles was irritating & various other noises. Wind sounded like rain with the roof structure I suspect (being a sound guy I know valleys make sound travel in wierd ways with certain frequencies). Its worth double checking the check out times. The bunk beds look like they would fit chidlren only & not adults so my advice is don't have anymore then two people staying in each cabin. The toilets were fitlhy & the showers were leaking spraying water on clothes & shoes that had to be stashed in the sink & the plank of wood could have been bigger. Also more hooks to hang things up would have been great. Beds were comfy though but the bunks looked awful. It just needs a bit of work & a bit more coordination with the cleaners as they were struggling to keep up with the demand & lack of communication between residents in regards to check out time which was not advertised anywhere in the cabin at all. Don't go in Number 5 as the lock will takeyou a while to use & it would be easy to break in. The guy there was nice enough & polite to let us use the other car park though which was great. He was caught in a rock and a hard place with the check out times as I don't think that was his fault or I got that impression. Everyone else was in the same boat I think there residents wise. Beds were comfy though the place does need a slight make over & better hospitality coordination. Cleaners realised we weren't informed properly at all about check out time & were really nice about it to as was the guy in charge or second in charge of the place. My advice - stay elsewhere or at Normanville.

This would have to be the worst caravan park I have ever stayed in. The location (near the beach/jetty is perfect but that's about it).

The caravan park itself is dry & dusty - there is nothing inviting about it at all. We stayed in an "on-site caravan" and I think that all of the onsite caravans and cabins look like the last time any maintenance was done on them was when they were installed in about 1964 ! The Vans are dirty, cobwebs everywhere, dusty, broken or non-operating windows, electrical cables to lights cut, light fittings smashed or broken. Plates and cutlery dirty. Corks jammed in the roof vents to hold the vent open to get some air inside, mattresses on beds dirty & stained, rust everywhere. I would say that when there is a changeover of tenants, the only thing that the park owners do is make sure there's a bin liner in the bin and that the dish washing detergent is full - that's about it. Perhaps (just slightly) the park might be ok if you tow in your own van but if you plan on using something on site - just don't unless you have very very low expectations.
